Finally!!! Vaccinated and on the Road

Hi Zoey, this Nana!!  It’s been so long since I’ve written on my blog.  With Covid lasting almost a year and a half we haven’t traveled.   But with a new to us diesel Ford 250 and fifth wheel we are heading toward the northwest and seeing you ❤️  It’s May18th, 2021 and we left Buckeye, AZ at 9:00 and hit the I 10 packed with bikes, our old kitty, Frazier and enough food for at least a month!   So far so good.   The weather is warm and the sky is kind of smoggy.  We passed acres of solar farms and soon we will see the wind turbines around Palm Springs.  That will be our first stop at the Desert Hot Springs RV Park.  We have stayed here and enjoyed the swim in the springs which are covered and HOT!!   

Anyway, by June 1st Zoey we will be in Oak Ridge, Oregon where we hope to meet up with your Aunt Tessie and Uncle Aaron as they have a contract for the fire season with the US Forest Service for the big Sykorsky 61.  

I talked to your dad and told him I will be writing to you along the way until we meet up in Idaho in time for your birthday.  Can’t wait!!

Oh and remember that I have Frazier with me, the old kitty, and he can’t wait to meet you too.  He hopes you will love him and give him treats.  

He likes to sit right between us in the truck and feel the air conditioner on his nose!

Have fun with your last few weeks on kindergarten.  You were such a good Jaguar getting lots of awards and making such progress.   Give mom and dad a hug for me.  They take such good care of you.  

Zoey this is you at your dads Okra Camp!!  You were the best hustler.  It was so much fun ….
