Travelers Rest

We head out on a cool cloudy morning to Darby, Montana.  We have stayed at this little quaint town before and the same RV park.  It’s not big but is quiet and inexpensive.  They also rent cute cabins and have a house they rent.  There’s a laundry too.  As we travel I took lots of photos of the history along the route.  Idaho has some great signage about the history related to the towns and areas we pass.  Many have to do with Lewis and Clark, different tribes, Sacagawea and other geological events.

Still lots of snow in the mountains.

We cross into Montana

This is the entrance to Yellowstone the famous drama.  You can only take a quick photo

Here are the owners with a few of their horses.

We got in early to our park and set up.

We were lucky to have some shade and a site large enough for us to back into.

This is a statue of Sacagawea in the town of Darby.

We took a ride to explore some of the surrounding area and a large lake there.  Darby is a famous fishing location and we saw several drift boats and fishermen on the river.

Salish of the Bitterroot.
The weather was still cool and a bit rainy.  We walked around the town but preferred doing our own cooking. We head on to Missoula, MT for a few days to see the Bison Range and do laundry along with stocking up on a few supplies.  The truck has been running smoothly thank goodness.
